PHILOSOPHY
| All children develop socially,
emotionally, cognitively, and physically in a supportive and
stimulating environment. Teachers in the Lower School understand
the importance of instilling a love of learning. Children
are respected, various learning styles and abilities are recognized,
cultural diversity is embraced, risks are supported, and life
skills are stressed. Lower School teachers encourage students
to assume progressively greater responsibility for their learning,
and help parents understand how they can support the practices
and goals of the School. The Lower School provides an enriching
environment that fosters positive self-esteem and allows children
to grow to their potential. |
